Zombies attack!!

i had a zombie apocalyptic dream last night. in fact, it would have made quite the cinema going experience. it was my family surviving waves of zombies (think l4d2). i don't remember the details of the backstory, which all i know included a swamp and dead girl at the bottom of said swamp. we were at our house (not my actual house tho...just some dream house) and these infected mice would come into the house to spread the infection. so it was a really good thing that my family has soo many cats because they were catching them and saving us from infection. this gave us the chance to pack everything we needed - from blankets to food - and fill up our minivan (which we don't have in real life) and drive to a secluded house in the woods far, far away from civilization and zombies. however, we realized that we forgot two of our eldest cats behind so we had to go back which was incredibly dangerous because then the zombies would have the opportunity to follow us; still, i had to go back for them. so we retrieve them and begin driving out to the woods. driving on the roads and highways was like a racing game, dodging this way and that way. i was weaving between zombies and the debris of our fallen world. we made it to the house and lock ourselves in with all of our equipment and animals. we are in there playing games to keep entertained because we were there for at the very least a year. then infection reaches us. at first, our cats started catching mice and we knew that it was on its way. so i start caulking around the doors, windows, and any open crack to try to shield us. nevertheless, our cats begin to become infected and so i put them into locked kennels because i just don't have the heart to kill them like i know i should. eventually my cats are all infected in their cages, my father dies, my sister and i are killed, and only my mother survives by narrowly escaping to the car and driving away as fast as possible. the end.

A Scorpion just can't help it.

One day, a scorpion looked around and decided that he wanted a change. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river. The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. "Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?" But knowing all about scorpians, the frog said, "If I let you on my back, you will sting me and kill me!" The scorpian argued, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!" Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. "Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN sting me & kill me?" said the frog. "Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!" So the frog agreed to take the scorpian across the river. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws sticking into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current. Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs. "You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?" The scorpion shrugged, "I could not help myself. I'm a scorpian, it is my nature." Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Dear Sema

I came across this on the internet; it's for you Sema ---

*Ode To Boys*
We like them, but do they like us?
The ones we do never fuss
They never stop in and we wonder why
We stress, we bitch, we sometimes cry.
"Guys are assholes!" we always say.
Yet their stupid games we always play.
One day this, one day that.
So we turn to food which makes us fat
Then they complain we're putting on weight
Defining to us why we never date.
They're the reason, those stupid fucks,
Making us believe that college life sucks.
SCREW THEM ALL, LET'S GRAB A BEER!
We've got our friends, they're all here.
Cheers to the girls, fuck the guys.
We're sick of their shit and stupid ass lies.
We don't need them, no not us.
Good for a scam but never to trust.
So here's what to do:Together we stand.
We'll party it up with beers in each hand.
Alone in our beds of course it might end,
But we don't get dumped and we still have our FRIENDS!

Jealousy kills

And oft, my jealousy shapes faults that are not.
~William Shakespeare

More men die of jealousy than of cancer.
~Joseph P. Kennedy

Jealousy in romance is like salt in food. A little can enhance the savor, but too much can spoil the pleasure and, under certain circumstances, can be life-threatening.
~Maya Angelou

Jealousy is the great exaggerator.

The bigger the brow the better

So, I am obsessed with thick eyebrows. When I went home to NY for the break the biggest difference I was struck by was the style which women groomed their brows. Most American women pluck and pluck away at their eyebrows. Don't they know they are meant to frame and enhance your eyes and overall face. Personally, I have had such terrible experiences in the States with waxing. It's really a shame. In fact, I am still growing my eyebrows out from the Superdorm lady's hack job on my face. Regardless, I am head-over-heels in love with threading which, if I remember correctly, is thought to have originated in Turkiye. Turkish women on the other hand appreciate a full brow and don't fight their natural shape.

I completely agree with the selection above, each is a perfect example of how thicker just means more beautiful. Of course, Brooke Shields is included because she is the Queen of the 'Big Brow."

When it comes to brows her's are borderline godly and, most definitely, deserving of more photos so here they are:

I would, however, add Camilla Belle. I would call her the Reigning Princess of the "Big Brow," wouldn't you? Take a look for yourself:

Remember that thick, big eyebrows are not the same as unkept and messy brows. This next girl, whoever she is, needs to get that memo.

Frustration

Erkeklar are soooooo FRUSTRATING!!!

I don't think I need to say anything more than that.

I am, also, not a very patient person so we will see how far my tolerance can stretches before I just don't give a fuck.

This FML moment brought to you by Fmylife.com makes me feel a shit load better tho; so, maybe it will do the same for you:

Happy National Peanut Butter Lovers' Day & National Pig Day!

MARCH 1st

is

National Peanut Butter Lovers' Day

&&

National Pig Day

both of which are greatly missed by nearly every american over here in turkey. i am an exception, of course, being that i am, firstly, a veggie and, secondly, smart enough to return to istanbul with my very own giant sized jar of american style peanut butter. but still how weird is it that the holidays for appreciating both of these much missed treats fall on the same day...?

i think i will celebrate by making delicious pb&j sandwiches tomorrow. hells yaa.
